Augmented Focus is Signia's proprietary signal-processing strategy that separates incoming audio into two independent streams: the Focus Area (foreground speech) and Ambient Sound (background noise). The Focus Area stream is processed to make speech crisp, clear, and dynamically rich — bringing it even closer to the listener than in real life. The Ambient Sound stream attenuates background noise while preserving spatial cues that help the wearer identify and locate sound sources. This dual-processing approach is the core innovation of the AX platform.

Yes. Signia AX hearing aids connect to the Signia app, available for both iOS (iPhone) and Android. Direct audio streaming is supported from iPhones via the MFi (Made for iPhone) hearing aid standard and from compatible Android phones via ASHA (Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids). Streaming from other devices is possible through the optional StreamLine Mic accessory.

Auto EchoShield is a Signia AX feature that runs automatically within the Universal program. It analyses the acoustic characteristics of each room in real time and adapts signal processing to optimise speech clarity and sound quality in both low-reverberation (e.g., soft-furnished rooms) and high-reverberation environments (e.g., churches, tiled rooms, large halls). No manual programme switching is needed.

Own Voice Processing (OVP) 2.0 is Signia's second-generation technology that recognises the hearing aid wearer's own voice in real time and processes it on a dedicated, independent channel. This keeps the wearer's voice sounding natural and comfortable while other sounds are amplified for hearing. OVP 2.0 improves on the original by utilising the split-processing architecture of the AX platform, delivering greater precision and a more authentic own-voice experience.

A full charge of Styletto AX takes approximately 4 hours when placed in the charging case. The rechargeable battery provides a full day of hearing, including streaming.

Yes. Signia AX hearing aids support direct audio streaming of phone calls, music, podcasts, and other media. Streaming is supported from iOS (Apple) devices via the MFi (Made for iPhone) standard and from compatible Android devices via ASHA. For other mobile devices, the StreamLine Mic accessory enables Bluetooth streaming via an intermediary device worn around the neck.
